The Resilience Project

The Resilience Project is a whole school wellbeing program that delivers emotionally engaging evidence-based mental health strategies to build resilience and happiness.

Through weekly wellbeing lessons,  presentations, school curriculum, events, the TRP App, and Wellbeing Journals,  the benefits of Gratitude, Empathy, Mindfulness, and  Emotional Literacy, are explicitly taught as they are foundational contributors to positive mental health.

 

School Breakfast 4 Health Program (Mon - Fri 8am - 8:40am) -This cereal based breakfast program is provided by Food Bank and supported by the NSW State Government. This breakfast program is a whole school wellbeing initiative, whereas any student requiring a breakfast can access this through the Wellbeing House.

To supplement this breakfast program the House tries to utilise fruit and vegetables grown at the Ag. Plot or in the numerous gardens scattered around the school. Cultivation a farm to plate ethos this provides students with opputunities for a nutritious added extra to their day.

Fit for Life PYCY (Tues 7:30am - 8:40am) - Fit For Life is an early intervention program designed to engage youth ages 10 to 17 which targets poor choices and anti- social behaviour. Through physical fitness, nutrition and social engagement, Fit For Life aims to improve overall wellbeing.

Fit for Learning Program- PCYC

The Fit for Learning Program is a 10-week program that prepares students for work, life and beyond.

Students will obtain, their white cards, first aid certificates and complete a job readiness component when they complete the Fit for Learning program

LOVE BiTES Program (Yr 10)

LOVE BiTES is a Respectful Relationships Education Program for young people aged 15-17 years. It consists of two interactive workshops: one on relationship violence, and one on sex and relationships, followed by creative workshops and community campaigns.  The program emphasises the importance of a whole-of-school commitment to respectful relationship education.

The overall aims of the programming are to equip young people with the knowledge needed to have respectful relationships, encourage and develop their skills in critical thinking and assist them in being able to problem solve and communicate effectively.

 

Safe Minds Program

The SAFEMinds program offers training and resources for primary and secondary schools to help make it easier for them to identify children and young people with early signs of mental health issues, and offer them school-based interventions and/or external referrals.

 

Family Mental Health Support Worker

Funded by the Department of Social Services, the Family Mental Health Support Service can provide early intervention support to assist young people aged 0-18. Supporting young people and their families in improving their social, emotional, mental health and wellbeing.

 

Managing the Bull Program

Managing the Bull is a 10-week course written by Kenneth Nathan and Carol Musgrave that builds resilience in bullied teens through games, activities and discussions. In a safe, supportive environment, participants will learn to: recognize bullying, discover inner strengths, build self-esteem, communicate effectively, deal with cyber-bullying, build support networks and use personal protection plans.

 

RAGE Program

The RAGE program is a 10 week program that introduces the topics of: reflecting on anger, recognizing anger symptoms & identifying the different faces of anger. RAGE is a strengths-based anger management program. It is a solution focused program that is hands on, practical and also fun for participants.
