Assemblies

Primary students (Kindergarten to Year 6)

School Assemblies are a regular part of the school's program.  Kindergarten to Year 6 hold a daily morning assembly every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning under the COLA in the K-6 department.  This takes place at 9am.  The morning assemblies are to let the children and parents who wait know what is happening that day, what is coming up or results on what has recently happened.

Thursday assembly is every second week (even weeks at the moment) with performances from different classes and groups from time to time. During these assemblies a number of presentations occur including, Special Awards, Club 200 and Principal's Awards.

Secondary students (Years 7 to 12)

Every morning other than Thursday morning the Secondary students assemble in the quadrangle of the Secondary Department for morning notices.  On Thursdays, there is no assembly as the students have their year group meetings at 10.30am.

Throughout the Term there are generally 4 assemblies scheduled for Tuesday Period 6. At these assemblies, time is taken to recognise the successes both academically and in the sporting arena of students across Years 7-12. Each assembly is based around a Faculty area with teachers in that faculty recognising successes in each of their classes.

At these assemblies students report back to the student body on excursions and exciting research tasks their class may be involved in. It is also at these assemblies that recipients of Merit Certificates are presented to students by Mr Taprell so that they can be formally acknowledged in front of their peers.
